Founder’s Story

The story of the Dele Shittu Foundation is, in many ways, my story. From a young age, I was blessed with something I know many are not, a supportive family, mentors who believed in me, and a community that gave me the opportunity to dream and the means to pursue those dreams. These blessings shaped not only who I am today, but also my understanding of what it means to be privileged. I carry with me a deep sense of gratitude, and with that, a responsibility: to give back, to lift others, and to help create a world where opportunities are not the exception, but the norm.

Over the years, I have seen the true power of collective action. I have seen how real and lasting change happens, not through the efforts of one person alone, but when people come together, united by a shared purpose. This belief became the foundation for what is now the Dele Shittu Foundation

The foundation was named in honor of my late father, a man who lived a life of service, compassion, and integrity. His example taught me that true impact lies not in what we achieve for ourselves, but in what we help others achieve. The Dele Shittu Foundation stands today as a bridge, connecting underserved individuals and communities to opportunities that can transform their lives.

Our mission is simple yet profound: to serve as a catalyst for positive change. We aim to inspire individuals to become agents of transformation within their own communities, and to prove that when we work together, we can achieve far more than we could ever imagine on our own. This is my story. And through the Dele Shittu Foundation, I invite you to be part of it, to join us in building a future where no one is left behind, and where hope, opportunity, and dignity are within everyone’s reach.
