ORATOTORY CONTEST:

The Dele Shittu Foundation embarked on its maiden oratory contest in Ilorin, Kwara State to commemorate the 2024, children’s day. Through strategic planning and collaboration with relevant stakeholders, the foundation successfully hosted a statewide oratory contest that witnessed about 30 Secondary Schools in attendance, 20 participating Schools and over 500 Secondary School pupils present, with a total number of about 2000 guests. Despite encountering some challenges at the initial stage with low turn up of participating Schools, we eventually had a population higher than we projected. The Foundations commitment to implementing and organizing meaningful projects was unwavering, resulting in tangible outcomes and positive feedback from all attendees ranging from the participating schools, invited schools, Judges and special guests.

JAMB SCHOLARSHIP:

The Dele Shittu Foundation implemented its 2025 JAMB Scholarship Program to support indigent secondary school students across Kwara State who lacked the financial means to register for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination. The initiative ran from February 6 to February 22, 2025, benefiting 240 students through free JAMB registration. The program promoted access to higher education and reinforced the Foundation's commitment to educational empowerment across the state.

NECO SCHOLARSHIP:

The Dele Shittu Foundation implemented its 2025 NECO Scholarship Program to support indigent secondary school students across Kwara State who lacked the financial means to register for the NECO examination. The initiative ran from March 24 to April 1, 2025, benefiting over 200 students through free NECO registration. The program promoted access to higher education and reinforced the Foundation's commitment to educational empowerment across the state.

CAREER WEEK:

The Dele Shittu Foundation held its 2025 Career Week from May 12 to 14, reaching more than 2,000 secondary school students across six schools in Ilorin and Offa, Kwara State. The three-day event featured interactive mentoring sessions, lectures, and discussions with professionals and educators aimed at guiding students toward informed and fulfilling career choices. Each day covered two schools, allowing for focused engagement and meaningful interaction between speakers and students.

BACK TO SCHOOL:

The Dele Shittu Foundation carried out its annual Back to School Outreach between October 2 and 7, 2025, across six local governments in Kwara State. The initiative focused on providing essential school supplies and paying school fees for selected pupils in public primary, junior, and senior secondary schools. The outreach successfully reached about 7,200 pupils across all three senatorial districts, ensuring that each beneficiary received at least one item and, in some cases, multiple items or full scholarships. Items distributed included notebooks, water bottles, school bags, sandals, socks, and scholarships. Activities were carried out in Ilorin, Offa, Ajase Ipo, Oyun, Inaja Alaro, Malete, Lafiagi, Edogi Dukun, and To Mo Re School for special needs students.
